I'm on venlafaxine(effexor) 150mg, and though I'm not as depressed as I was, I think it may be working too well. I can't cry when I'm sad. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem? There are times where I'm sad or something bad has happened and I have the urge to cry and can't....it's weird. anyone know anything about this?

Does anyone know which antipsychotics are weight neutral? I'm currently on Geodon and Risperdal, but have gained 25 pounds so far on the Risperdal (after gaining 60 on Seroquel).

I've just filled a prescription for pumicort, a puffer for asthma. Reading about it, it says it can interact with SSRI's and SNRI's, but it doesn't say how... so i can't make an educated choice about taking this puffer! Can anyone shed some light on what the interaction might be? I tried googling but no info on the actual interactions came up.

Any experiences with Buprenorphine? This is my 7th day taking it, and I think I love it. My anxiety levels are down, and my bipolar depression seems like its getting better.

 After having horrible side effects from Cymbalta, my GP has switched me to Lexapro. I have had fairly good reactions to SSRIs in the past, no really nasty side effects/weight gain etc. But the more I read about Lex, the more concerned I get. I'm not too bothered by the withdrawals - hell, it can't be worse than Effexor!! 

I didn't have any weight gain on Prozac or Citalopram when I was on them before, so is it unlikely that I will experience weight gain on Escitalopram (Lex) as it's pretty similar to Citalopram. 

I am recovering from Bulimia & already at a high weight so gaining more would be really bad for my health, hence my main concern. Is there any way to combat weight gain caused by anti-depressants? It seems it's a metabolic problem which would indicate that merely diet & exercise might not cut it. 

Experiences & advice would be greatly appreciated. 

so I just went to a new psychiatrist he is amazing. i have given up all hope on psychiatrists because i feel like i just cannot be fixed but anyway my whole life i have been on and off ssri's but they shifted me right into mania within the first month. i have been on basically 4mg of ativan/ xanax/ clonazapam and ssri's forever. Then i went to wellbutrin and geodon which just didn't work and now i am being weened offf the geodon first and i just started lamictal, prostiq, and xanax xr 2mg twice daily. I am still on wellbutrin because everything has to be a gradual process to get off of. I know prostiq is relatively new but what was everyones experience with lamictal and prostiq (doesn't have to be the combination, could be individual). also did anyone get weight gain on these drugs or other unwanted side effects. Thanks for any info greatly appreciated

So, I'm starting Yaz come the Sunday after my period to prevent babies but mostly to try and get my PMDD under control. If it works, man. Life will be easier.

I have rapid cycling bipolar disorder and have been prescribed Epival to control my mania.

I'm currently on 500 mg per night.

I just got home from having a rather large dinner (I even had that full feeling in my stomach) with the boyfriend... less than 10 minutes ago... and I'm starving. I really want to eat more. But I was full 20 minutes ago! I know weight gain is a possible side effect of the drug but I find this really weird. I'm so hungry and I just ate a huge meal.

I was wondering if this is a common side effect of this drug or drugs like it.

So here's my new cocktail:
Zyprexa - 2.5 mg
Lithium ER - 300 mg, twice a day
Klonopin - 1.5 mg
Vyvanse - 60 mg
Trileptal - 900 mg
Prozac - 30 mg

I've been on most of them for a while but I just got put on the Zyprexa and the extended release version of Lithium last Tuesday. Does anyone have any experience with either of the two? I know that Zypexa can cause weight gain, has anyone experienced this?

Also, Prozac is supposed to help with OCD and bulimia. Has anyone had any progress with either of those while taking Prozac?

My Dr prescribed this to me this afternoon & before I take my first tablet, I would like experiences & opinions on it

A couple of questions:

Drinking on it.. How bad is it? It says in the leaflet that it could increase risk of damage to my liver, does that mean there is already risk of damage to my liver just by taking the tablets?

Thoughts/feelings of suicide - I have a lot of these while not on any medication (my Dr is aware of this) & while reading up on the medication, I found that it can increase these thoughts. What kind of risk am I in?

Other general experiences - Did it make you sleepy/more awake? Changes in appetite? Was it helpful?

I know that medications are different for each individual person but it's always handy to see what other people think about it. I wish I'd listened to people before I tried Effexor because that was a bugger to come off of!

This might sound stupid.. But apparently it is used for incontinence as well, & apparently this can cause some not-very-nice side effects when coming off it. Does anyone have any experience of that?

& another one.. What does gastro-resistant mean?

Also, I've been started on 60mg a day, is this a normal dose? On the crazymeds website, it talks about starting at 20mg & then slowly working up to 60mg.

hey guys i have borderline personality disorder, panic disorder, anorexia and manic depressive disorder. i currently am in DBT, have a individual therapist, and a psychiatrist. just wanted to introduce myself. ya i'm pretty fucked up. so anyway wanted to know if you heard of the geodon wellbutrin combo that i'm on??

Do you develop a tolerance to Adderall? I started on 10mg and when I took it I felt a little racy and amp'd if you know what I mean, and slowly my psychiatrist has increased my dose and now I can take 45mg and not feel anything except my concentration and memory are improved. Is that how it works for everyone?

Is there a way that I can split my 20 mg adderall xr into 10 mg? I really feel like I don't need the 20's.

If my pill bottle says 0.5mg Novo-Lorazem, and then 0.5mg Lorazepam underneath, does that mean that I have a 0.5mg dose of the generic, or that it is a 1mg dose in each pill, half generic/half pure lorazepam? I'm confused.
